Last December 6, Radio Club Peruano celebrated their 86th anniversary of foundation. To that effect their Board of Directors, headed by de Oscar, OA4AMN, organized a series of activities for members, their families and friends.
On Tuesday, December 6, a group of 18 persons (members and friends) visited the National Operations Center for Satellite Images (CNOIS), where the images from PerúSat‑1 are received, and where the command and control of the satellite is carried out. The satellite was launched on September of this year. It was a very educational technical visit.
On Wednesday, December 7, a solemn event was held at the Clubs facilities, with the presence of the Vice-Minister of Communications, Dr. Carlos Valdéz Velasquez-López and the Executive Director of the Regional Seismological Center for South America (CERESIS), Dr. Leandro Rodríguez. During the ceremony, diplomas and prizes were given to the winners of radio contests during 2016 as well as to the Champion of the Year and to the Best Novice of 2016. Certificates were also delivered to the participants of the 2nd amateur radio course that approved their license test.
