Nature strikes our Chilean brothers one more time. The Calbuco volcano en the Los Lagos region erupted for the first time after 54 years of inactivity, forcing the evacuation of an area of 20 kilometers around the volcano. Some 5,000 residents of the area have been evacuated from locations such as Chamisa, Lago Chapo and Route 225. Ashes have been reported from as far as Argentina.
Emergency nets are in operation in the following HF frequencies, which should be left clear: 7,050 kHz, 14,250 kHz (alternate) y 3,738 kHz (alternate)
