JARL, the IARU member society in Japan, has requested to keep clear the frequency 7.030 MHz as it is used for emergency traffic related to the recent earthquake and tsunami.

The Executive Committee of IARU Region 2 express our most profound condolences and sympathies, as well as our solidarity with JARL, our Japanese amateur radio colleagues and the people of Japan.
