The Federation of Radio Amateurs from Central America (FRACAP) celebrated its 50th. Anniversary with a convention held in San Salvador on November 5 – 7.
With the presence of colleagues, XYLs and friends from all Central America and from the United States, the program included solemn sessions, a theater presentation, work sessions for delegates, technical conferences, a formal dinner and a very lively filed day.
José Arturo Molina (YS1MS), president of CRAS, the host society, stated his satisfaction and happiness with the results of the celebration, which served to strengthen, through personal QSOs, the ties of brotherhood already existing among Central American colleagues.
The picture showns Hugo Soto, TI2HAS, representing Costa Rica, elected as the venue for next convention, receiving from Fabián Zarrabe, YS1FI, General Secretary, the famous FRACAP “nail”.
