This coming April 18th, World Amateur Radio Day and 92nd anniversary of IARUs (International Amateur Radio Union) foundation, Federación de Radioaficionados de Cuba (FRC) wants to send their warmest greetings and congratulate all colleagues of the world through Member Societies, particularly those that are part of IARU Region 2.
This year, this celebration is also linked to the International Girls in ICT Day, which will be celebrated next April 27th, at the initiative of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), an activity that all IARU Member Societies will join.
Cuba encourages the presence of the younger generations in amateur radio through the Circles of Interest, where many Radio Clubs are present in coordination with the Schools of the Ministry of Education and all the other factors that participate in the vocational training of students.
