A strong earthquake occurred in Haiti, on Tuesday, January 12, 2010; 21:53 UTC. The epicenter was located near of the capital Port-au-Prince; a city of 2 million peoples.

The IARU-R2, Area C Emergency Communication Coordinator, Arnie Coro, CO2KK, requested to keep 3720 kHz and 7045 kHz frequencies, clear for possible emergency communication related to the earthquake in Haiti, until futher notice.
