The Executive Committee of IARU Region 2 is pleased to announce the appointment of Augusto Gabaldoni, OA4DOH as IARU R2 Workshops Coordinator. The overwhelming interest shown to the recent announcement of IARU R2 online workshops demonstrated the need for a more focused and coordinated approach to organizing and delivering workshops to serve Amateurs in the Americas in both Spanish and English. As Workshops Coordinator, Augusto will be organizing the upcoming Caribbean-focused English language Emergency Communications and Satellite workshops planned for the end of May as well organizing additional workshops in both Spanish and English to accommodate the large number of registrants from other parts of the Americas and worldwide.
For those who have already registered online for the workshops, please be patient as details on your workshop will be sent in the coming weeks. For others interested in participating in a future workshop, you may continue to register online at https://www.iaru-r2.org/workshop-2020 .
Anyone with a suggestion for workshop topics of general interest to Amateurs in the Americas and subject matter experts who wish to volunteer to be a workshop presenter is asked to contact Augusto directly at workshops@iaru-r2.org.
