Michael Owen VK3KI, IARU Region 3 Chairman and National President of The Wireless Institute of Australia passed away yesterday unexpectedly.

Michael was a well known figure in Region 2 as he attended several of our General Assemblies as member of the IARU Administrative Council.

The IARU Region 2 Executive Committee expresses their deepest condolences to his family and colleagues in Region 3 and Australia for the lost of a fellow radio amateur and a good friend.
