Radio Club de Honduras (RCH) reported its participation during the GlobalSET exercise held on April 13 and 20, 2013, with five radio operators in club station HR2RCH.

Noé Oliva, HQ2NBO, RCH President, stated that data messages were transmitted in three different modes, (Raynet Messenger, Pactor and Winmor/WL2K) in preliminary trials and during the GlobalSET April 2013 exercise.

Noé, HQ2NBO, also commented that the GlobalSET April 2013 represented an experience for RCH radio operators in the preparation of messages in the IARU format and in the operation in data transmission modes, even though the propagation conditions were not adequate in the different bands.

Lastly, Noé, HQ2NBO, confirmed the motivation of RCH to strengthen emergency communications among Honduran radio amateurs and to participate in future emergency exercises that IARU might hold.
