The Radio Club DHaïti has been authorized to use a special callsign of 4V1G to commemorate the Independence of Haïti which was signed by the three Generals Jean Jacques Dessalines, Alexandre Pétion and Henri Christophe on January 1, 1804.
The special event will continue until 30 August 2016. The radio club will be joined for one week from June 20 – 27 by visiting amateurs K3TUF, W3CMP, KB3SSZ and N3BNA. The guest operators will be on all bands , but plan to concentrate on 4m and 6m, and will be operating in their free time while working on a 300 foot AM tower project. QSL via W3HNK.
