Last May 30, Radio Club Dominicano (RCD), represented by Mr. Hugo Ramón, accompanied by a group of RCD members, signed a cooperation agreement with the Civilian Defense entity of the Dominican Republic. Brigadier General Lic. Rafael Antonio Carrasco Paulino, E.R.D., general director of the Civilian Defense, held the event at their facilities, where there was also participation from 4×4 vehicle clubs.

The agreement ensures the mutual cooperation between RCD and the Civilian Defense; it includes counseling, training, promotion and joint work. With this, the Civilian Defense seeks support in matters of emergency communications in the amateur radio bands for better management of the activities that they carry out and those that could arise in case of disasters.
