On July 15 the Cuban radio amateurs celebrated the 50th birthday of the Federation of Radio Amateurs of Cuba (FRC) in the Solemn Session of the National Council of the FRC, held at the Memorial honoring José Marti, National Hero of Cuba.
There we met authorities, founding members, old and young radio amateurs from across the country.
Pedro Rodríguez Pérez, CO2RP, President of the FRC gave attendees a seal of the 50th Anniversary of the FRC, commemorative medals of the event and delivered a speechin which he made a historic journey of the main events experienced by the FRC in this half century. On behalf of IARU Region 2 the Ramon Santoyo V., XE1KK, Vice President, attended the event.
The following day the National Council of the FRCmeet and worked on a broad agenda of issues.
