Guayaquil Radio Club (GRC), IARU Member Society in Ecuador, signed an agreement with the Ministry of Risk Management to be part of the Inter-Agency Telecommunications Network in Emergency Situations of Ecuador.

The Minister Ms. Susana Dueñas de la Torre and GRC President Lorenzo Lertora V., HC2BP signed this agreement.

The document indicates within its points that the GRC will provide advice and training for the HF Emergency Network in the Monitoring Rooms of each province of Ecuador.

They will also be part of the Voluntary Service of the Risk Management Secretariat in emergency situations and they will be part of the Crisis Room.

This achievement was largely due to the work carried out in the earthquake of April 16, 2016, as well the work of Jorge Martinez L., HC2JM, Vice Minister of Risk Management.
